Thank you for generously taking part and ‘Running For Harry’. Your effort, commitment and unwavering support has been fantastic! Harry Moseley has inspired so many people and together we are continuing his work in raising money and awareness for a research into brain cancer.

We hope this blog will provide you with some useful information as to how to raise sponsorship money, decide on your arrangements for the day and generally get organised.

General Information
All of the information regarding parking, race start times, refreshments, travel arrangements can be found on the race website, www.readinghalfmarathon.com We would encourage you to study this carefully. The organisers are super helpful so feel free to give them a call. Tip - if you are planning on driving to the event get your parking booked ASAP.

RunningForHarry Sportswear & Clothing
Due to the fantastic generosity of www.giraffe-shop.co.uk we are now able to offer ‘Running For Help Harry Help Others’ t-shirts, bags, caps, polo tops, hoodies and soft toys. Profits from these items will be generously donated to www.justgiving.com/runningforharrymoseley   Please take some time to explore the online shop.

Raising Money
You can raise money for RunningForHarry by using the Just Giving link below. It was of paramount importance that funds raised went specifically towards brain cancer research - the charity that Harry worked so tirelessly towards.
As a result we were unable to set up individual Just Giving accounts for everyone running. However, you can very easily direct family, friends, colleagues and anyone else you can think of to:
Please ask anyone sponsoring you to make a note of your name in their personal message when donating - this will enable you to see how you much you have raised.

You can also use our sponsorship forms to collect money and then pay it via the Just Giving account. Please email RunningForHarry@gmail.com for a copy.
Alternatively you can collect cash from people using the RunningForHarry sponsorship form below and make the payment to the account yourself, or ask people to Text RFHM50 followed by £(amount) to 70070
Thank you for your support and effort. Together we can make a difference. All money raised will be directed to the charity Harry raised so much money for.

Belfast City Marathon team

Joanne Murphy and four of her colleagues from Deeny’s Pharmacy, Downpatrick, N. Ireland have taken ‘RunningForHarry’ fundraising to a whole new level!

They have signed up to run the Belfast City Marathon on 7th May 2012 as a relay team. In a bid to raise as much money and awareness for brain cancer research they are raising money in lots of unique and novel ways.

With the approval of ‘Medicare Pharmacy Group’, Joanne and her fellow runners will don their ‘RunningForHarry’ polo shirts and collect money at work in their very own 'Fundraising Friday' event. Posters, balloons and collection buckets welcomed customers on Friday who donated generously to this worthwhile cause.

Some would say that this goes above and beyond the normal fundraising efforts taken by marathon runners! However, for Joanne this is clearly just the start!

‘We also have a number of other small fundraisers planned such as a pub quiz, coffee morning, raffle and a local non school uniform day which will all collectively go towards our teams collection’ said Joanne.

Below are a collection of photographs taken from the first 'Fundraising Friday' at Deeny’s Pharmacy.

If you would like to help Joanne Murphy, Elaine Byrne, George Shaw, Rachel Jess and Deaghlan O’Hagon raise as much money for ‘RunningForHarry’ then you can donate by using this Just Giving account, or by text.

Just text RFHM50 followed by your amount £(amount) to 70070

If you are planning a ‘RunningForHarry’ fundraising event let us know so we can tell your story. Together we can help to make a difference!

A HUGE thank you to Joanne and her team!
